Several people forwarded me and article from the New York Times – Hindu Nationalists are Enrolling, and Enlisting India’s Poor. I think by now most of the frequent readers of this site are well aware of my stance against any and all religious movements primarily for the reasons such as those outlined in this article… religion is the pinnacle of mass mind-control – and that is exactly what happened in Afghanistan with the Taliban and that is what any such religious education will create in the future as well.
I guess the bottomline remains that people are screwed in the head and it is never really going to be possible to eradicate such behavior from human society. The scum of society will contantly rise to the surface and every so often we will need to go in and clean the pond.
